EU Ecolabel continues to grow: record number of products and licences in the Netherlands and Europe
The EU Ecolabel continues its upward trend unabated. Not only in the Netherlands, but across Europe, the official environmental label is reaching new milestones. As of 1 March 2026, the total number of products and services bearing the EU Ecolabel in Europe reached a record high of 116,692.

Webinar: leading the way in sustainability

34% more products and services with EU Ecolabel in the Netherlands

SMK, the organization that certifies on behalf of EU Ecolabel in the Netherlands, sees a growing interest in the quality label. The number of certified products and services in recent years and that in 2021 has increased significantly (+34%). There is also a growth in the number of EU Ecolabel licensees (+9%).
